A 39-year-old security guard from Quezon City was arrested after his wife caught him abusing their 13-year-old daughter. The daughter said this was not the first time that it happened.
According to an Abante report, Alfredo Moneva Jr. of Bistekville II in QC was arrested by officers from Police Station 5 in Fairview after his wife reported him. The victim said her father had forced himself on her before when drunk and while her siblings were out of the house.
She said she told her mother about it in the past but that her mother didn’t confront her father about it.
The report quotes Poice Officer 2 Rita Raynada as saying seeing the rape herself may have been too much for the mother to bear, prompting her to report the incident to the police.
