Doing your job right can get you in trouble.
“At around 3:20am on Tuesday, Mar 25, 29-year-old security guard Alin Macala was mauled by a group of men who were allegedly related to the minor he accosted for stealing,” reports Mitch Arceo in the Manila Bulletin.
According to the report, the incident happened at the corner of Gil Puyat Ave. and Tramo Street. Macala was on duty at that time because he was guarding a backhoe used for the road widening project in the area. All of a sudden, a group of men overpowered him and beat him up.
Bystanders rushed Macala to Pasay City General Hospital, where doctors said he was in critical condition due to injuries on his head and other parts of his body.
