Most people are scared of getting a medical exam. The thought of being poked and prodded is not exactly comforting — add to that the prospect of needles. *shivers*
But if you’re one those people who hate going to hospitals, perhaps this post might help you. Thanks to the medical team of Laguna Industrial Health Clinic Inc. in Sta. Rosa, Laguna and our favorite giant bee, Jollibee!
Medical technologist and drug analyst Leslie Ann Onia posted Jollibee’s medical examination earlier this week and since then has earned over 8,200 likes and has been shared more than 9,800 times.
According to Leslie, the entire exam wasn’t planned.
“Every Tuesday and Thursday nag-iikot po ang mascot ng Jollibee, siguro to attract customers and kids… So, nung napadaan siya sa tapat ng clinic namin, one of our OPD (out-patient department) nurses called Jollibee,” Leslie shared with Coconuts Manila.
(Every Tuesday and Thursday, the Jollibee mascot goes around to attract customers and kids… So when he passed by our clinic, one of our OPD nurses called Jollibee.)
She adds, “Nung nasa loob ng clinic, biniro namin siya na magpa-BP [blood pressure test] kasi nga baka pagod na kakaikot. Tapos dun na nag-start.”
(When he was already in the clinic, we said he he should get his blood pressure checked because he might be exhausted from going around the area. That’s how it started.)
Jollibee went through the entire medical examination for pre-employment: he got his vitals checked, an eye exam, blood extraction, and he even gave his urine sample. But he had a little trouble with the drug test, according to Leslie, because Jollibee only had four fingers and he was wearing gloves the whole time!
The next day, Jollibee went back to get his results and it was hilariously heartwarming!
According to his test results, Jollibee has “high blood” because he keeps on eating ChickenJoy (Jollibee’s signature fried chicken) and he also suffers from a condition called Cardiomegaly (an enlarged heart) because he has a “big heart to all.”
