She will be tagged as the most high-risk individual in recent memory to attend a Senate hearing.
This is what the Senate’s Sergeant-At-Arms, retired Gen. Jose Balajadia said about Janet Lim Napoles, the businesswoman who’s the alleged “mastermind” of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or pork barrel fund scam.
“Balajadia said it’s all systems go for Napoles’ her November 7 appearance before the Senate Blue Ribbon committee probing the multibillion-peso pork barrel mess,” reports Ernie Reyes on InterAksyon.com.
According to the report, Balajadia said they’re “not ruling out any possibility, including an assassination plot on Napoles.” After all, whistleblowers say she’s allegedly connected to many powerful people in government.
The Department of Justice has filed plunder cases against Napoles and 37 others, including senators and former congressmen who are accused of being part of the scam that funneled funds into ghost NGOs.
