While a lot of people — including President Rodrigo Duterte — are ecstatic over Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s news about being pregnant with triplets, a renowned medical expert sent Inday Sara a warning with a little bit of shade.
Forensic pathologist Dr. Raquel Fortun tweeted on Sat, Aug 20, “Too early to rejoice over 7 weeker lalo na triplets. Wait for delivery and spare oneself from heartache. PR for Lolo?”
Fortun was referring to President Duterte, Inday Sara’s father.
Not having any of it, Inday Sara took to Instagram for her reply to Fortun.
Sara wrote, “Ah yes PR pero bago ka mag tweet basahin mo muna yung PR ng hindi ka magmukhang dugyot na ampalaya. Please take note, that public officials need to explain their absence in important events. And when I do get the heartache, it will still be a media blitz and when we defy the odds it will be a PR fiesta and you will still be Miss Bittermelon.”
(Ah yes PR but before you tweet, read the PR first so you won’t look like a filthy bittermelon.)
Switching to Visayan, Sara continued: “Problema sa imuha Miss kay di ka ganahan sa Lolo manunglo ka sa mga gisabak, 3 baya ni, buot pasabot ang gaba ani katulohon pud.“
(The problem with you is that if you don’t like the Lolo, then don’t take it out on the babies. There’s three of them, so that’s triple the karma.)
She then ended with a strongly worded advice for Fortun, “Turn off your Twitter, do your work, mind your own business and spare yourself the heartache.”
Later that day, Fortun issued an apology/explanation via Twitter, saying she herself suffered miscarriages.
“Came [from] work, haven’t read everything on my [timeline] yet. I never doubted [your] pregnancy, Mayor Duterte. I do wish you well. Had 2 miscarriages myself,” Fortun tweeted.
