Fancy an out-of-the-metro airport?
“The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) formally recommended Sangley Point in Cavite as the site for the country’s long-term international gateway,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
According to the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) said JICA gave a formal presentation on its recommendation for the location of the new main airport last June 13.
JICA will now start on a feasibility study on Sangley Point, a former US naval base.
The report noted: “The goal is to have a new main airport, which will replace the aging Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), by 2025.”
