The enire clan seems to be under fire.
“The Sandiganbayan 3rd Division has ordered the arraignment of former Makati Mayor Dr. Elenita Binay, the wife of Vice President Jejomar Binay, for graft,” reports Adrian Ayalin on ABS-CBNnews.com.
The report said that “Dr. Binay’s graft case stemmed from the alleged overpricing of hospital beds and other medical equipment for the Ospital ng Makati (OsMak) during her term as mayor.”
Dr. Binay served as Makati mayor from 1998 to 2001.
The report noted: “The resolution said the court found probable cause for graft and malversation charges against Binay.”
Dr. Binay’s arraignment is set on November 20 at 1:30 p.m.
Warrants of arrest, meanwhile, are to be issued against Binay’s co-accused. It may be recalled that Dr. Binay already posted the PHP70,000 bail bail last Oct 28.
