Despite being detained, Senator Bong Revilla is still one lucky person.
“The Sandiganbayan First Division rejected a prosecution plea to transfer Revilla and Attorney Richard Cambe to Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City,” reports Radyo5 on InterAksyon.com.
According to the Sandiganbayan, the prosecution “failed to present a compelling reason why the two accused in the multimillion-peso pork barrel scam should be transferred.”
The Sandiganbayan also pointed out that the prosecution couldn’t prove that Revilla and Cambe were being given special treatment at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City, where they are presently detained.
The Sandiganbayan emphasized that “the place of detention was not important but what was important was that the two are now detained.”
