Sandiganbayan: Imelda Marcos’ jewelry collection belongs to PH

So, when can we see these jewels?

“The first division of the Sandiganbayan has decreed that one of the three jewelry collections of former First Lady Imelda Marcos belongs to the government,” reports ANC.

This is after the Marcoses failed to prove that the jewels were lawfully acquired. The said collection, which is known as the Malacañang Collection, is estimated to be worth at least US$110,000.

The report noted that “the two other collections—the Roumeliotes Jewelry composed of 60 pieces of extravagant jewelry and gemstones and the Hawaii collection—were earlier forfeited.”

In other news, Imelda’s 74 yo assistant has been convicted of selling the monet that she stole from Madame.
