Sandiganbayan allows Enrile’s hospital detention

He’s now “legit.”

“The Sandiganbayan 3rd Divison granted on Friday, September 26, Senator Juan Ponce Enrile’s motion for detention at the Philippine National Police (PNP) General Hospital,” reports Atom Araullo on ABS-CBNnews.com.

The Sandiganbayan was convinced by the testimony of doctors from the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) as well as the results of Enrile’s court-sanctioned medical check-ups to allow his continued stay at the PNP General Hospital.

The report noted: “The 90-year-old senator has been confined there since his arrest last July 4. The Sandiganbayan gave the leadership of the hospital continuing authority to bring Enrile to other medical facilities if needed. However, a permanent transfer to another hospital would require a court order.”
