Sandiganbayan allows Chavit to travel with Pacman

This, more than anything else, confirms that former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson and Sarangani Representative Manny Pacquiao are pretty tight.

“The Sandiganbayan Third Division granted Singson’s request for him to join the boxing icon in his trip to Israel and the U.S. and is expected to be back in the Philippines on June 29,” reports Jeffrey G. Damicog in Tempo.

Singson has been charged with three counts of violation of Section 3(e) of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act (Republic Act 3019) and docketed under Criminal Case Nos. SB13CRM0946 to 0948.

The report revealed that “Singson had told the court that he wanted to join the group of the boxing icon to holy sites in Israel which was meant as Pacquiao’s way of thanksgiving for his victory in the fight with Timothy Bradley.”

Singson explained that “after staying in Israel from June 10 to 18, Singson said that Pacquiao’s group will head to Los Angeles, California, where they will stay until June 29.”
