Sandiganbayan affirms decision to suspend Jinggoy from Senate

Sorry, Jinggoy.

“The Sandiganbayan fifth division on Friday, August 29, denied Senator Jinggoy Estrada’s plea to reverse his suspension from the Senate,” reports Marc Jayson Cayabyab on Inquirer.net.

The report noted: “In a resolution promulgated August 28, the anti-graft court thus upheld its decision suspending Estrada for 90 days as he faces plunder and graft charges for plunder over the pork barrel scam.”

Estrada had earlier asked the court to nullify the charges against him, claiming that he was “not given due process.”

But the Sandiganbayan said, “Senator Estrada’s surmises are unfounded and have no basis.”

In other words: “Don’t push it, action star.”
