With the hefty price tag, we can only imagine what kind of airport they have in mind.
“According San Miguel Corp. (SMC) president Ramon Ang says the conglomerate is is planning to present a proposal to the government soon for a new US$10 billion airport in the capital,” reports Reuters in the Manila Bulletin.
The report noted that SMC, which also owns a portion of Philippine Airlines (PAL), announced in 2013 its intention to build a new facility to replace the ageing airport currently in use. However, the plan was delayed “pending questions on state policy on airline companies operating airports.”
