It’s every business owner’s nightmare.
“A 72-year-old businesswoman named Dolores Calji lost more than PHP400,000 worth of equipment after her employee, 25-year-old Edward Louie Siojo, allegedly ransacked her Internet shop in San Juan City on Wednesday, March 18,” reports Rizal S. Obanil in Tempo.
According to the report of the Eastern Police District, Calji discovered the robbery at around 5pm at the Rated RR Internet Cafe on A. Bonifacio St. in Barangay Kabayanan.
Calji had arrived at the shop to collect its earnings. However, she saw that it was closed. When she went inside, she found out that all the 24 central processing units (CPUs) and monitors, one printer, one copier, two electric fans, and 20 computer chairs were gone.
Witnesses revealed that they had seen the shop attendant, Siojo, loading the equipment into a jeepney.
