According to the San Juan City Police, married couple Kent and Aimee Kho lost more than PHP1 million in cash and jewelry to their maid last Friday, March 20,” reports Rizal S. Obanil in Tempo.
The report noted: “Kent told police that he left their house at 12:30 p.m. for work. His wife, Aimee, found out that their housemaid had left their house without asking permission. It was already around 6 p.m. when they realized their valuables were missing.”
The couple had come home to their condominium unit in Barangay Sta. Lucia and saw that the knob of their bedroom door was destroyed.
Their maid, who was not named in the report, had taken a diamond ring, a pair of earrings, a gold bracelet, and cash.
The investigation is now ongoing.
