Is this the beginning of the end of corruption in the country?
In a press conference on Friday, May 2, Assistant Ombudsman Asryman T. Rafanan announced that pork barrel scam whistleblower Ruby Tuason has been has granted immunity in exchange for her testimony.
“This means that Tuason will be spared from criminal liability, specifically from plunder charges in connection with the P10-billion Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) scam,” reports ANC.
Rafanan also said that Tuason has also returned the PHP40-million she owes the government. The said sum is what Tuason says she got for participating in the pork scam operations of Janet Lim Napoles.
