Ruby Tuason explains why she once burned 100 pairs of Italian shoes

This story isn’t really about shoes, it’s actually about how we shouldn’t underestimate a woman who sets fires.

“On Thursday, Feb 13, pork barrel scam whistleblower Ruby Tuason, in her testimony before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, confirmed that she had a falling-out with former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo after she split up with her husband and Arroyo’s first cousin, Butch Tuason,” reports ANC on ABS-CBNnews.com

Tuason went on to reveal that she “burned all her husband’s clothes and shoes after she caught him cheating on her.”

Her exact words: “After I split from my husband, Mike and I were not really talking because when I caught my husband I burned all his clothes, all his things. I burned it all. All 100 pairs of his Italian shoes. All his suits and that got Mike upset on why I did that.”

When asked to explain her actions, Tuason quipped, “Buti nga hindi siya ang sinunog ko. Na cre-cremate siya ng buhay na buhay (It’s a good thing I didn’t set my husband on fire. He’d have been cremated while he was still alive).”

Admittedly, we found ourselves waiting for her to cackle after that comment.

Tuason then went back on “serious mode” when she explained that her own brother, Remy Chan, was the one who established a connection between alleged pork scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles and Atty. Jess Santos, who is the lawyer of Mike Arroyo.

Tuason pointed out that “Napoles at that time was seeking a Palace connection since she wanted to corner projects that were funded using royalties from the Malampaya gas project.”

We’re still a little confused about how they all met. We’re still thinking about those flaming Italian shoes.
