Ruby Tuason is back in town

So, is this a “Faith in humanity” restored moment?

“Ruby Tuason, who is among the accused in the plunder of multibillion-peso pork barrel funds and the P900-million Malampaya fund and wants to be granted immunity by becoming state witness, is back in the country after staying for more than one month in the United States,” reports News5 correspondent Fritzie Cabial on InterAksyon.com.

Tuason, who returned on April 8, had gone the U.S. to sell her properties and raise funds to be able to give back to the government PHP40 million of the kickbacks she supposedly pocketed through her alleged dealings with lawmakers and alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles.

During her visit to the Department of Justice, Tuason said that while she could not yet return the PHP40 million, the sale of her properties in the U.S. was still ongoing.

She left the country Mar 2.
