“The rape complaint filed by Roxanne Cabañero against TV host Vhong Navarro has been dismissed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) for lack of sufficient evidence,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
In its resolution, the DOJ tagged Cabañero’s claims and story as “contradictory, suspicious, and of doubtful nature.”
The report noted: “Cabañero had claimed that Navarro raped her when she was an official candidate of the Miss Bikini Philippines Pageant sponsored by Slimmers World from back in 2010.
However, as the report indicated, “Navarro accused Cabañero of lying under oath as to the supposed date of the incident: April 24, 2010 from 11pm up to 1pm (April 25) since he had an out of town engagement at the time, which made it virtually impossible for the alleged rape to have taken place.” Comedian Vice Ganda testified that he and Navarro were in the very same out of town engagement.”
