Rosana Roces: I brought in women for high-profile Bilibid inmate Vicente Sy

New Bilibid Prison inmate Nonile Arile — a former policeman who’s convicted of kidnapping and murder — made a shocking claim involving a showbiz personality in the ongoing House inquiry on the alleged drug trade operating out of the national penitentiary.

Arile said that actress Rosanna Roces was the mistress of high-profile inmate Vicente Sy. “Kabit niya ang artista na si Rosana Roces, alyas ‘Osang,'” he said.

(“His mistress is actress Rosanna Roces, nicknamed ‘Osang.'”)

Sy was one of the inmates hurt in a recent stabbing incident inside Bilibid.

The reference to Roces as his mistress, though, got us confused.  After all, just this August, it was reported that Roces was set to marry her lesbian partner.

In a Facebook post under her real name Jennifer Cruz Adriano, the actress vehemently denied Arile’s allegations, writing, “Paanong magiging mistress [ako] eh babae ang dinadala ko ke Enteng?”

(“How could I be the mistress when I bring in women for Enteng?”)

“Enteng” is the nickname of Sy.

Roces clairified that she only served as the “manager” of prostitutes for some of the inmates. She pointed out, “Kada hatid ko ng babae ay 25k ang binibigay sa akin. Kahit na reject pa ang babaeng dalhin ko.”

(“Each time I bring in a woman, they give me PHP25,000 [around US$516]. Even if they reject the woman I bring for them.)

(“I’m not involved in the Bilibid drug trade: I’m like Monterey, I deliver meat. I only deal with one person there, the man named Vicente Sy. It’s easy to make up stories, but it’s hard to prove if they’re true.”)

“Roces also admitted to have performed inside the correctional facility with April Boy Regino and sexy singer Selina Sevilla, which allowed her to meet the likes of Jaybee Sebastian, another high-profile inmate,” reports ABS-CBN News.

Roces further stated, “Other than that wala na akong naging dahilan para bumalik. Lalo na nung ang huling nadala ko palang babae ay maysakit.”

(“Other than that, I’ve had no reason to return to Bilibid. Especially since the last woman I brought in turned out to be sick.”)
