Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque on Saturday thanked the public for the “good” net satisfaction rating the cabinet received in a recent survey, saying this would”inspire and motivate” President Rodrigo Duterte’s officials to work harder in 2018.

“We have to point out that this figure, considered ‘good’ by the polling firm, is the highest net satisfaction rating given to the Cabinet since 1990,” Roque said in a statement.

“This will therefore inspire and motivate the members of the President’s official family to work double time in bringing a comfortable life for all Filipinos under a trustworthy government,” he said.

A recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed that 53 percent of 1,200 respondents were satisfied with the Duterte cabinet’s performance.

The Cabinet received a “good” rating at +38 in December 2017, a 6-point increase from the September survey.

The survey was conducted from December 8 to 16.

The Duterte cabinet has undergone several revamps after 5 department secretaries failed to get the nod of the Commission on Appointments and one was fired over corruption allegations.

The Cabinet secretaries who were rejected by the bicameral panel were Perfecto Yasay Jr. for foreign affairs, Gina Lopez for environment, Paulyn Ubial for health, Judy Taguiwalo for social welfare, and Rafael Mariano for agrarian reform.

In April, Duterte fired then Interior Secretary Ismael Sueno over alleged corruption, which the latter had denied.
