Maybe the Philippine National Police (PNP) should impose tougher screening procedures on their applicants.
“On Tuesday afternoon, Dec 17, combined elements of the Navotas Anti-Illegal Drugs unit and Special Weapons and Tactics headed by police chief Superintendent Eduardo Giro arrested Police Officer 1 Mark Leonel Pua during a raid on the house of a certain Danilo Villanueva in Phase 2, Area 1, Barangay North Bay Boulevard South in Navotas City,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.
Pua was caught with drug paraphernalia. He’s suspected of being a member of Villanueva’s gang, which is said to be responsible for the sale of illegal substances in the area.
Villanueva, who is also wanted for murder, managed to escape. He also goes by the nickname “Danny Toyo.”
