The Philippine National Police (PNP) Highway Patrol Group (HPG) has offered to help the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) address reports of passenger buses having rocks thrown at them in Central and Northern Luzon.
“HPG director Chief Superintendent Arnold Gunnacao said they are just waiting for the LTFRB’s formal request. Gunnacao said the issue should be addressed amid concerns raised by passengers and bus drivers, especially as many are expected to travel to the provinces during the Holy Week,” reports Cecille Suerte Felipe in The Philippine Star.
The LTFRB recorded at least 140 incidents in Pangasinan, 23 in Nueva Ecija, and 25 in Cagayan.
