Robin Padilla to Pacman: ‘Protect those who are few, poor, and weak…’

Actor Robin Padilla weighed in on the controversy surrounding boxer and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao, who is running for senator.

Pacquiao had gotten flak for his nasty statement about same-sex marriages and had been dropped by one of his endorsers, Nike, for it.

Padilla, whose sibling is transgender BB Gandanghari (formerly known as Rustom Padilla), stated that while Pacquiao still has his vote, but he also gave the latter a piece of advice.

For the record, Padilla is a Muslim convert.

On his Instagram page, Padilla posted a screengrab of an article on Pacquiao’s latest controversy. He then wrote this caption: “My senator, Public service is not selective. Protect those who are few, poor and weak. Religion has nothing to do with it or around it ..My support to you will not change I still believe in your heart…. Listen to it and trust it always….. It will never mislead a HERO.”
