Robber’s defense: My boyfriend and I just wanted ‘loving-loving’

“Wala naman kaming balak na magnakaw. Mag-loving-loving lang sana kami ni boyfriend.”

(“We didn’t have any plans to do a robbery. My boyfriend and I just wanted some ‘loving-loving.'”

In the Philippines, the term “loving-loving” is used as a euphemism for sexual intercourse.

Believe it or not, this was the defense of one of the three suspects who broke into the Patad Elementary School in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, on Mon evening, Sep 12.

Reymund Mano and his boyfriend Hilario Salines, along with a woman identified as Justine Balagat, were caught inside the Grade 5 classroom of the said school.

The suspect didn’t explain why the woman was with them. (Were they planning a threesome?)

Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, is 491 kilometers away from Manila and takes around 10 hours of road travel.

According to senior inspector Romeo Carlet Jr., the suspects forcibly destroyed the lock of the main door of the classroom. They had one other man with them, Dexie Duldulao, who served as the lookout.

That man reportedly managed to flee with around PHP1,000 in cash taken from the classroom.

ABS-CBN News reports, “Carlet believes that the suspects were also involved in several robbery incidents in the town.”

Mano, though, insisted that he and Salines just wanted to get intimate.

A robbery case has already been filed against the suspects.
