Robbers break into Caloocan grocery, steals goods, cash and CCTV

‘Tis the season of robbers.

“Thieves broke into a grocery store in Caloocan City on Sunday and stole nearly P200,000 worth of goods and cash,” reports Nathaniel Melican in Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Investigators said an undetermined number of robbers broke into the Mark Joy Store grocery on Moises Street, Barangay 150, Bagong Barrio. The suspects destroyed the door leading to the staff quarters where they rounded up the grocery workers. The suspects later carted away around PHP150,000 worth of groceries and PHP30,000 in cash.

The suspects also took away the hard drive of the grocery’s closed-circuit television camera system.
