A parade and lighting activity will be held later today in Manila to conclude the 50th Foreign Ministers Meeting.

From 2pm 9 pm, Roxas Boulevard southbound from Padre Burgos to Buendia will be closed to vehicles, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced. Trucks are banned all day to Roxas Boulevard from Padre Burgos to Buendia. The area around the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) is declared an “ASEAN Delegate Zone” and closed off all day to vehicles.

Non-ASEAN delegates and guests are banned from passing by portions of Atang Dela Rama, Vicente Sotto, Leano Florento, and Juan Arellano streets and by the Philippine International Convention Center and Sofitel grounds.

Authorities advise motorists to take alternative routes.

Expect to see an increased police presence to secure the area and Metro Manila Development Authority enforcers to manage traffic. For security, Metro Manila police will intensify visibility and conduct patrols, provide route security, and manage the traffic with the MMDA traffic enforcers.

Suspicious activity can be reported to the Task Force Manila hotline at +639955031670.
