Rizal Park photographer shot dead

Those who found him must have been horrified by the grisly picture he presented.

“The body of Alberto Dizon, 50, who was a photographer at the Rizal Park, was found on Monday night, Dec 2, in an alley at Gasacan in Baseco Compound, Port Area, Manila,” reports the Philippine Daily Inquirer. He had gunshot wounds in the head, chest, arm, and jaw.

Police said Dizon was probably on his way home from work when he was cornered and shot at around 8 pm. The scene of the murder was just a few blocks away from his house. The gunman immediately fled the scene.

The report also cited Senior Insp. Melchor Villar, Baseco Police Community Precinct chief, who revealed that they were “looking at a longtime dispute as a possible motive for Dizon’s murder.” However, he lamented that “many of the witnesses were afraid to come out for fear of being targeted next.”
