Lang Dulay, an NCCA Manlilikha ng Bayan, dream weaver, princess, pride and joy of South Cotabato’s T’Boli tribe, passed away Friday afternoon, April 30 at 3pm.

The 91-year-old T’Boli princess suffered a mild stroke earlier this year. She had been in a coma since January 2015.

Land of the Dreamweavers, the official tourism Facebook page of South Cotabato announced her passing late in the afternoon.

Lang Dulay is among the pioneer T’nalak weavers. T’nalak, of course, is a traditional cloth made and worn by the T’Boli tribe of South Cotabato.

Dulay is called the ‘dream weaver’ as she weaves designs that appears in her dreams.

What a huge loss to the Philippines. What a full life she’s lived.

Farewell to a legend! On this somber day the Land of the Dreamweavers bids goodbye to Lang Dulay our beloved T’nalak dreamweaver and renowned national artist. May she rest in peace. Bong s’lamat!
