A resource center for Filipinos has opened in Venice, Italy. The Service Info Point was officially opened at the Chiesa Santa Maria dela Fava in Venice on Apr 14.

The center is the brainchild of Fr. Luigi Ramazotti, Parish Priest of the Chiesa Santa Maria dela Fava and chaplain of the Filipino community in Venice.

It is seen to help Filipinos living in Venice regarding their dealings with various Italian authorities including civil administration and immigration.

The Service Info Point is also being manned by Filipino youth, most of whom are second-generation Filipinos born in Italy.

The Philippine Consulate General hopes that by serving in the info point, these Filipino youth will remain in touch with their Filipino culture and heritage.
