Residents of Cebu town baffled by sinkhole in cornfield

Our first impression: It looks scary.

On Thu morning, Oct 5, policemen found a three-meter wide and 10-meter deep sinkhole in Barangay Bugas in the municipality of Badian, Cebu.

“A concerned citizen had alerted them about it after a kid who was playing in the cornfield discovered it,” reports Annie Perez on ABS-CBNnews.com.

Residents are baffled and worried about the appearance of a sinkhole in the area.

The report noted: “Barangay captain Eulalio Raboy has sent a report to the Municipal Peace and Disaster Council and to the Mines and Geosciences Bureau of Region 7 to inspect the sinkhole.”
