They’re already talking about it this early.
“Three lawmakers—Cavite Rep. Lani Mercado, Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez and Camarines Sur Rep. Dato Arroyo—have expressed openness to run for senator in the 2016 national elections,” reports RG Cruz on ANC.
The three lawmakers are members of Lakas CMD, of which Romualdez is president.
The information was revealed by Raul Lambino, chief of staff of former President and current Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
In case you didn’t know, the report noted: “Dato is the son of the former president, Romualdez is the nephew of former First Lady Imelda Marcos, while Mercado is the wife of detained Sen. Bong Revilla.”
Lambino said that the three would be considered as “strong candidates” for the party.
