What’s happening in Pasay City?
“At around 11am on Sunday, September 7, Philippine News Agency reporter Ferdinand Patinio, 43, was inside his home in Pasay City and talking on his iPhone 5 when a group of teenagers forced their way into his home and demanded that he hand over his phone,” reports Perseus Echeminada in The Philippine Star.
Patinio’s home is located within a compound at the corner of EDSA and Cabrera Street.
The report noted that once they were at the doorway of Patinio’s home, “one of the teenagers pulled out a knife and told the reporter to hand over his smartphone.”
The report noted: “Patinio tried to close the door but the teenagers pushed the door open as one of them stabbed him in the left thigh. When Patinio fell to the floor, the teenagers took the smartphone.”
Patinio was brought to the San Juan de Dios Hospital for treatment.
The police are now tracking down the suspects. But they are believed to be minors, so they may end up not being charged.
