Three netbooks and three computer monitors were stolen from the office of Camarines Sur 3rd District Rep. Leni Robredo in the Naga City Hall compound, police said Monday.
Authorities believe at least two people may have broken into the office between Saturday night and the wee hours of Sunday.
The suspects may have also brought a child or someone of a small built with them. That person may have entered through the office windows.
The public safety officer-in-charge of the office said the steel grills of the windows were destroyed when he saw them.
The suspects also left the office in a disarray, with drawers opened and other objects scattered all over.
The stolen netbooks contained important documents of the office of the lawmaker. Her staff, however, said all their important files have back-ups.
Nonetheless, they hope security will be beefed up in the area. Prior to the incident, thieves had also broken into an establishment beside the congresswoman’s office.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
