Rep. Amado Bagatsing accuses Erap of paying people to attend proclamation rally

On Wed, Mar 30, Manila 5th District Rep. Amado Bagatsing claimed that Manila Mayor Joseph “Erap” Estrada’s supporters were paid to attend the mayor’s proclamation rally early this week.

“Bagatsing, who is running against Estrada, was responding to Estrada’s earlier statement that he is not a threat in the Manila mayoralty race,” reports Niko Baua on ABS-CBNnews.com.

Bagatsing added that it is Estrada who is trailing behind in the mayoralty race because the latter is reportedly “not doing well in the surveys.”

Bagatsing had earlier slammed Estrada’s decision to endorse presidential hopeful Sen. Grace Poe, saying, “To me, he has his own agenda. I’m trying to look at surveys. He (Estrada) probably wants to ride in the popularity of Grace Poe. I think it is a political decision.”
