De Venecia’s 29-year-old son Christopher, a newspaper columnist and theater producer, will be the Liberal Party’s bet for House of Representatives in the 4th district in the province.
Aside from the COC and Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance, the younger De Venecia, who was born in Los Angeles, California, also submitted to Comelec Pangasinan an affidavit of renunciation of American citizenship and allegiance to the United States of America.
Aside from De Venecia, Jihan Merrera who filed her candidacy for Board Member in the 2nd district, was substituted by her party-mate Roberto Merrera, Jr. Two other candidates withdrew their COCs.
