The Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) has released the list of candidates that they would be supporting for the senatorial elections. The religious sect’s list includes 7 administration coalition candidates, and five from the United Nationalist Alliance.
The INC traditionally sends out their list of supported candidates a few days in advance of elections to urge their followers to vote for the list. Although the INC consists of less than 5% of the population, their vote has been seen as a solid voting block. The list was leaked early this week. This time around, instead of it being circulated among members, sample ballots were given to INC members. The INC also released to their followers a separate list of seven supported party-list candidates.
At the same time, the Jesus Christ The Name Above Every Name congregation led by Evangelist Pastor Apollo Quiboloy has also released their list of supported candidates. Their list has six names from the administration, five from UNA and an independent candidate, ABS CBN News reported.
