Unregistered voters and those whose registrations have been deactivated should go to their local Commission on Elections offices to register and get their personal details updated or they won’t get to vote in the 2013 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.
Comelec has posted a downloadable Voter Registration form (here) that voters can print out.
Comelec commissioner Grace Padaca said voters can then “fill out one copy of the registration form and photocopy it twice so you have the required three copies; and do the thumb marks and signatures in the Comelec office in the presence of the registering officer.”
Registration, which is free, is from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. everyday until July 31. There will be no extension of the deadline for registration.
Barangay and SK elections are scheduled for October 28.
