Rapper nabbed in Pampanga for allegedly selling ecstasy, marijuana to fans

A rapper and social media personality was arrested on Sunday in Pampanga for allegedly selling ecstasy and marijuana.

Arnly Dimabuyu, known by his stage name Xander Bay, was arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon in a bar in Angeles City after he was allegedly caught in the act of selling marijuana to an undercover agent.

The 21-year-old musician, known for doing pranks on YouTube and Facebook, was classified as a “high-value” target by the PDEA. He allegedly sold drugs to his fans and followers at his concerts and at music festivals, reported Unang Balita.

PDEA seized PHP16,000 (US$305.83) worth of suspected ecstasy tablets from Dimabuyu, along with a sachet of what is believed to be marijuana, reported ABS-CBN.

Dimabuyu has denied that he sells drugs during his gigs and maintained he is not a drug user.  He is currently being detained in a PDEA jail in Pampanga and will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, according to The Philippine Daily Inquirer.
