Ramon Bautista is known for his offbeat humor and alternative views on politics, so his fans were surprised to see him in Fast Forward, the ruling party’s star-studded music video-slash-campaign material for presidential candidate Mar Roxas.
The video was released last Sunday and until today Bautista continues to receive hate messages and ugly comments on Instagram. Does he care?
He reiterated his support for Roxas on both Instagram and Twitter. “Mar Roxas ang iboboto at susuportahan ko sir,” he told a commenter.
Much like Chito Miranda, who declined offers from candidates he did not believe in, Bautista revealed he was also offered money to endorse other candidates, but he declined.

“Ako mismo nagvolunteer para maipagpatuloy ang tuwid na daan. Walang bayad. Inofferan ako ng iba, hindi ko tinanggap,” he informed one of his commenters.
Moreso, he engaged a few of his trolls, calling them out for their superficial hate and encouraging them to unfollow as they please.
“Dahil hindi siya cool at sablay ang pa-fistbump-fistbump niya,” he challenged one of them.

On Twitter, he also reiterated his choice.
“Basta ito ang stand ko bilang malayang Pilipino – kay Mar Roxas ang boto ko.”
Oh, Ramon, wish you can teach Mar how to be cool — but that’s not something that can be taught right?

Daming nambabatikos at nanghuhusga na walang batayan. Basta ito ang stand ko bilang malayang Pilipino – kay Mar Roxas ang boto ko.
