Quiboloy allegedly hurt for being excluded from Duterte Cabinet selection

Now, this has to be sorted out ASAP.

Kingdom of Jesus Christ head Pastor Apollo Quiboloy — a known supporter of incoming President Rodrigo Duterte — is said to be saddened over the fact that he was excluded from choosing the members of the new Cabinet. This was revealed by Quiboloy’s spokesperson, Mike Abe.

Quiboloy has been Duterte’s friend for 30 years and it was he who offered the use of his private jet and other resources for Duterte’s campaign.

“After Duterte cemented a wide lead in the presidential race, his camp formed a transition team to search for potential Cabinet and sub-Cabinet members. The team said they wanted the administration of Duterte to be representative of the country as a whole, and gender-sensitive,” reports Nestor Corrales on Inquirer.net.

However, Abe claimed that “some incoming Cabinet members were lobbied for by some politicians.” Abe further claimed that according to Duterte’s spokesman Peter Laviña, “reelected Las Piñas Representative Mark Villar was initially eyed to be trade and industry secretary, but Duterte’s running mate, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, lobbied for him to be  public works secretary.”

Abe admitted that Quiboloy and Duterte had no “official communication” after the May 9 elections. He lamented that “Quiboloy was not consulted about the appointees.”

Abe stated, “Yan po ang malungkot. Wala pong nangyaring consultation. Since Day 1 [after election day], di s’ya natawagan (That is what’s saddening. There has been no consultation. Since Day 1 after the elections, Quiboloy was not consulted).”

He added, “Hinaharang ng mga taong nakapaligid sa kanya. Gusto lang tumulong ni Pastor kay mayor and the Filipinos. Dapat suriin kung sino ang karapat-dapat (He has been prevented from seeing Duterte by the men around him. Pastor just wants to help mayor and the Filipinos. We should select properly those who deserve the position).”
