At around 5:35am on Thu, Feb 5, a fire razed the second floor of the Quezon City Central Post Office building along NIA Road.
“According to FSupt. Jesus Fernandez of the Bureau of Fire Protection, the fire may have started from an electrical short circuit in the records section of the said building. It reached the third alarm. Fire out was declared at 6:03am,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Thankfully, postmaster Amadeo Tura said “no letters and packages were damaged in the incident, as the fire was confined to only a certain portion of the building.” He added that the incident will not affect their operations.
