If they said they were building an army of Robocops to wipe out crime, we’re sure Quezon City residents won’t question the astronomical amount.
“The QC government has proposed a record-breaking PHP14.5-billion budget to finance various projects in 2015,” reports Janvic Matero in The Philippine Star.
Councilor Godofredo Liban—who filed a measure seeking the city council’s approval on the budget proposal submitted by the local government—explained that “the budget will cover various expenditures for the operation of the city government next year.”
The report noted: “The proposed budget, if approved, will be higher by more than a billion from this year’s PHP13.4 billion. Quezon City had an approved budget of PHP12 billion in 2012.”
Do the residents of QC feel these billions working for them?
If they do, then good for them.
