Criminals seem to be absolutely fearless these days.
At around 4pm on Mon, Feb 22, Senior Insp. Father Alexander Verzo Pardo, 40, police chaplain of Quezon City Police District (QCPD), was inside his quarters in Camp Karingal when a man who claimed to be an aircon technician knocked on his door.
Pardo’s airconditioning unit was out of order and he let down his guard and let the man in. Confident that the man was who he claimed to be, Pardo left his unit for a few minutes to attend to some errands.
However, when he came back, he realized that the aircon technician was actually a robber.
“In his complaint at the QCPD-Criminal Investigation Detection Unit, Pardo revealed that the unidentified suspect took his poodle and a car jack tool,” reports Melnie Ragasa-Jimena on Journal Online.
The investigation is ongoing.
A Tempo report noted that Pardo described the suspect around 55 to 60 years old, dark, and bald.
