Princesita Villanueva and her son Christian were killed after one of three workers they hired allegedly beat them with a metal pipe at their home in Quezon City on Mon, Feb 8. The two other workers have been tagged as accomplices in the crime.
“The three suspects were staying at the Villanuevas’ home in Barangay Commonwealth after Reuben Villanueva — the husband of Princesita and father of Christian — hired them to build a house on the lot next door. They had been drinking just before the attack,” reports Romina Cabrera in The Philippine Star.
Reuben, who survived the attack, was able to identify his family’s attackers.
The report noted: “The Quezon City Police District has launched a manhunt for the man who reportedly beat up the family and ended up killing Princesita and Christian. The two other suspects are now in police custody.”
