A subdivision in Barangay Talipapa in Novaliches, Quezon City seems to have become a hotspot for robbers. Residents say there are at least two robberies each week.
Many of the robberies have been caught on CCTV. Robbers don’t seem to care that their criminal acts are being recorded. In fact, they’ve gotten so brazen that they attack residents whenever they wish.
In one incident caught on CCTV, residents who were hanging out of a home were seen beeing threatened suspects who were riding a motorcycle. One of the men got off the motorcycle and drew a knife, which sent the resident running. However, he caught up with one woman and got her bag.
In yet another incident, a man got off a motorcycle and robbed an eatery.
Barangay watchmen say they are doing their best to go around the subsivision, but they simply can’t cover all areas as there aren’t enough of them.
Police are now working on the matter and have asked residents of the subdivision to be more cautious. —from a TV Patrol report
