Quezon City is sprucing things up.
“The Quezon City government has allotted more than P31 million for the rehabilitation and installation of elevators at the underpass connecting the city hall and the Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC),” reports Janvic Mateo in The Philippine Star.
The report cited bid documents published on the local government’s website, which revealed that the project was awarded to EFC Enterprises. The contract cost was PHP31.577 million.
Work on the site started on Feb. 1, which resulted in the temporary closure of the underpass. The report said that “the rehabilitation and installation of elevators are expected to last for six months, with the elevators operational by August.” There will also be a guardhouse in the area.
