QC Mayor Herbert Bautista suggests giving lifesaving gifts for Christmas

If this is the case, then we’d like to put an amphibious tank on the list.

“As the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Monday, Nov 25, marked its 74th founding anniversary, Mayor Mayor Herbert Bautista took the occasion to promote lifesaving aids as Christmas gifts,” reports Rio N. Araja in Manila Standard Today.

Bautista reportedly told reporters at Camp Karingal, “We can buy survival kits for our exchange gifts. We always have to be prepared in times of disaster and tragedy.” He went on to enumerate the kit’s contents: first-aid medicine, a raincoat, a thermal blanket, a flashlight, some batteries, and a transistor radio.

For the record, the QCPD opted for a simple anniversary celebration so they could donate money to Typhoon Yolanda victims.
