When Paul Nimeo arrived at his Quezon City apartment at around 6pm Monday night, he found it in disarray, his possessions scattered on the floor. His iPad, laptop, and pocket wi-fi amounting to PHP50,000 are gone.
It’s not an uncommon sight, because according to this ABS-CBN News report, this is the fifth time it’s happened in the exact same apartment unit.
Is the unit cursed? Well, “Since 1991, this is the fifth time someone broke into Nimeo’s unit. The last incident was in 2013,” the report continues.
According to the victim, the thief may have entered his unit through the fire exit, which he keeps unlocked in case fire breaks out. And you wonder why this keeps happening, no?
“Police advised Nimeo and his brother to install a CCTV camera in their unit, as well as to padlock all doors, even the fire exit.”
