Quezon City 5th District councilor Allan Butch Francisco has been charged for violating Republic Act 9262 (Anti-Violence against Women and their Children), as well as concubinage.
“The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) filed the cases against Francisco based on the complaint his wife (not mentioned by name in the report) who said that he spanked, mauled, punched, and held her prisoner inside their house from June 8 to 19, 2008, as he had suspected her of having an affair with another man,” reports Cory Martinez on Journal Online.
The complainant added that had been afraid to report the incident earlier. She added that she learned from the councilor’s staff that her husband was allegedly having an affair with another woman.
